My name is Calvin, aka CLAI or @clai_eats, born and raised in Hong Kong, spent about six years attending high school and college in the US. While food hunting has become my biggest hobby, I also would seize my chance to go on trips by myself/ with others to experience other cultures. To me, authenticity beats everything and you can make the most out of it by referencing what locals do or eat.
I am forever thankful to be born into a true foodie family that loves food and takes you on uncountable food journeys since childhood. My parents are natural chefs and would spoil us with their homemade dishes. Trust me, you’d be absolutely stunned by how good their cooking could be.
The privilege of studying in the US has helped me to be exposed to different cuisines. This chapter of my life has also taught me a huge lesson in food appreciation. Though my career hasn’t been all about food since graduation, my short yet sweet experience in the F&B tech industry also made me realize how much food means to me as if it is a language where I can connect with people around the globe. With my interest in cooking rediscovered throughout the pandemic, I wish to utilize different channels to share my food and drink explorations with you all!
